Yvonne E. Grattan, 90, of Houtzdale and a guest of Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehab Center, Curwensville passed away Saturday February 28, 2026 at the Center.
Born January 5,1936 in Rose Bud (rural Coalport), she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Elizabeth (McClelland) Sinclair.
Yvonne was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey.
She retired from Weis Market, Philipsburg, after 20 years of service.
Yvonne loved to go on shopping trips. She was an avid reader, enjoyed word find books and working crossword puzzles.
On May 5,1956 in St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Houtzdale, she married James Murray Grattan, who preceded her in death on January 19, 2005.
Yvonne is survived by a daughter and three sons: Kathy (Samuel) Timchak of Clearfield, Michael (Rose) Grattan of Camillus, NY, Shawn (Lorraine) Grattan of Houtzdale and Murray Grattan of Micco, FL.
Also surviving are four grandchildren: Michael and Matthew Grattan, Kyle (Eunice) Timchak, Zachary Timchak, a great grandson Rory Grattan and a brother William Roy (Evelyn) Sinclair of Big Run, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral service will be held the Birger A Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale on Friday March 6, 2026 at 11am. with Father Marc Soloman officiating.
Family and friends will be received at the funeral home from 9am until the time of service.
Yvonne will be laid to rest beside her husband in the American Legion Cemetery, Brisbin.
