Roselyn Sinclair, 97, a guest of Dayspring Personal Care Home, Morrisdale and formerly of Houtzdale, passed away Thursday March 21, 2024 at the home.
Born August 3, 1926 in Alverda, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Fay (Graham) Vozer.
Roselyn was a dedicated member of the First United Methodist Church, Houtzdale, where she served as the organist, choir director, and Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a member of the church WUTS Group and the Clown Ministry.
She loved to work on Sudoku puzzles, play the piano and go on long walks. She enjoyed the time spent babysitting her grandchildren.
She loved to cook, and her baked goods were enjoyed by family and friends.
Roselyn married Raymond Jack Sinclair, who preceded her in death on January 12, 1977.
She is survived by a daughter Joan Kephart of Sanborn, rural Houtzdale, a son Jack Sinclair of Houtzdale, and four grandchildren: Jack (Allison) Kephart, Kraig (Vanessa) Kephart, Kristi Kephart, and Jaclyn (Dustin) Zazworsky.
Also surviving are six great grandchildren: Abby Holt, Brielle, Wade and Blayke Kephart and Rosalie and Grant Zazworsky.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, sisters Ruth and Alma and a brother Robert.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday March 26, 2024 at 11 am at the First United Methodist Church, Houtzdale with Rev Robert Ford officiating.
Family and friends will be received Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the Birger A Freeberg Funeral Home Inc, Houtzdale.
Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brisbin.
