Richard Lynn Nicholson

Richard Lynn Nicholson, 65, of Houtzdale, passed away Saturday September 10,2022 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center, State College.

Born October 23, 1956 in Dubois, he was the son of the late Clyde and Shirley (Jones) Nicholson.

Richard was a member of the Mosquito Creek Sportsman's Club, Frenchville.

He retired after 23 years as Mobile Plant Technician for Glenn O. Hawbaker, State College.

Richard enjoyed everything about the outdoors. Especially hunting, ATV riding, and he was known to build the best bonfire to cook on.

On June 22,1996 he married Nicole (Tice) Nicholson, who survives at home.

Along with his wife he is survived by two daughters, Beth Ann (John) Socoski of Florida, Hunter Nicholson of Mechanicsburg, a son Richard Nicholson Jr. of Houtzdale and a brother Dave Nicholson of Glenn Richey.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Jeanette Morgan.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday September 16, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc, Houtzdale,. with Rev. Robert Ford officiating.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service.
