Raymond J. Wulderk, 95, of Houtzdale, passed away Saturday September 23, 2023, at Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg.
Born September 21, 1928, in Janesville, he was a son of the late Stephen and Hortense (Largenton) Wulderk.
Ray was a parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale, a member of Houtzdale American Legion Social Club and the Janesville VFW Social Club.
He was employed at Ruston Mines until his retirement.
Ray was a avid fisherman. He was a dedicated fan of all High School sports, but one of his great joys was visits from his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
On January 30, 1950, he married his wife of seventy-three years, Patricia (Cotter )Wulderk, who survives at home.
Along with his wife, Ray is survived by a son, Stephen (Lisa) Wulderk of Port Matilda, four grandchildren; Thomas (Samantha) Wulderk, Christopher (Laura) Wulderk, Kathleen Becker, and Heather (Mike) Johnson.
Also surviving are six great grandchildren: Andrew, Alex, Austin and Violet Wulderk, Molly and Emma Berardi, along with three siblings Lorraine Draisey of Camp Hill, Marie Marshall of State College and Barbara Earnest of Osceola Mills.
Ray was preceded in death his parents, a daughter Sandy Bosin, a son David Wulderk and a brother Sgt. Stephen P Wulderk WWII (MIA)
Visitation will be held at the Birger A Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale on Thursday September 28, 2023, from 9:00 am to 10:45.
Mass of Christian will be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale on Thursday September 28, 2023, at 11:00 am. with Rev. Father Robert Horgas as celebrant.
Interment will be in the St. Lawrence Cemetery, Houtzdale.
