Norman L Whitehead Obituary

It is with great sorrow that we share the passing of a great husband, father, Pa, and a dear friend... Norman Lee Whitehead.

Lee passed peacefully at his home on Wednesday, November 20,2024. He was born June 24,1932 in Philipsburg, a son of the late Thomas Leslie and Mae Isabelle (Bowers) Whitehead.

He was an Army veteran, having served in Berlin with the 6th Infantry during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife Betsy (Lee) Whitehead, whom he married February 23, 1968, his daughter Jennifer Sharpless and her husband Scott, his granddaughters, Hannah Sharpless, Lara Quick and her husband Nathaniel, numerous nieces and nephews, and his good friend Denny McDonald.

He was predeceased by his sisters, Dorothy Catherine, Virginia Sleigh, Jean Laird and Ruth Burge, his brothers James William, infant brother Thomas Leslie, John Dale, Richard Byrd, and Thomas Ronald.

Respecting the deceased's wishes, there will be no viewing and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank 365 Hospice for their excellent care.
