Monica Celeste Chincharick, 65, of Ramey passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center, State College.

Born April 16,1957 in Philipsburg, she was a daughter of the late George and Anna Mae (Magensky) Chincharick.

Monica was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale.

She was employed as a Vascular Ultrasound Technician for Dr. Shanoudy in Altoona until her retirement.

Monica enjoyed baking. She was famous for her chocolate cake with peanut butter icing and pumpkin rolls.   She loved going to the beach and reading WW II novels. But most important to Monica was her family. She was known to everyone as "Aunt Monica” and her great nephews and nieces lovingly called her "Aunt Monka".

She is survived by her sister, Eileen Thompson and her husband Chester Jr., a niece Cassandra (Drew) Kitko, two nephews, Aaron (Bethany) Thompson, and Lance (Ashlee) Thompson.

Also surviving are four great nephews and nieces, Ty, Annie, Jhett, and Fynnie Thompson.

Monica was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew Chester Thompson III.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday March 9, 2023 at 10:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale, with Father Joseph Czarkowski as celebrant.

Family and friends will be received at the Birger A Freeberg Funeral Home, Houtzdale on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm.

The Altar Rosary Society will recite the Rosary at 3:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brisbin.
