Obituary

Michael J. Stewart 70, of Houtzdale, passed away Monday March 7,2022 at Embassy of Hearthside in State College.

 Born September 9,1951 in Kellytown, rural Olanta, he was a son of the late Mansfield G. and Marjorie (Schultz) Stewart.

He was a retired truck driver and heavy equipment operator.

Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing watching NASCAR races and football, but the thing he enjoyed most was spending time with his daughters and grandchildren.

Surviving are his daughters Sherri (Jerry) DeLucia of Brisbin, Tammy (Tim) McGlynn of Houtzdale and four grandchildren: Kaeli Criscitello, Tyler, Logan, and Bailee McGlynn, along with a step granddaughter Rain DeLucia and two great grandchildren Trentyn and Teigan McGlynn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Gary Stewart.

In honoring Mike's wishes, there will be no visitation or service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mike's memory to the  Alzheimer's Associations at 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.

The Biger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale is in charge of the private arrangements.
