Mary Ann Waite, 80, of Clearfield, passed away Friday July 25,2025 at her home surround by her loving family.
Born July 1,1945 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late John and Teresa (Fundanish) Pesansky.
Mary Ann was a dedicated member of St Francis Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Clearfield.
She retired after 30 years of service as a clerical supervisor for PennDOT District 2 County Maintenance Office in Hyde.
After retirement Mary Ann and Duwayne were known to be out and about in their community as well as other communities enjoying life. They were always together and enjoyed 62 years of marriage. Mary Ann enjoyed shopping, local sporting events, going to church through the week to pray the rosary and attending mass each Sunday. She enjoyed meeting people and no matter where she went, she would make a new friend. Mary Ann was known to her family and friends as a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed spending time with her family over a cup of tea and conversation. She adored her four grandchildren. She was proudly known as Grandma. Mary Ann had a huge loving heart and would help anyone in need. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
On September 7, 1963, she married Duwayne B. Waite, who survives at home.
Along with her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Sherry (Jeffrey) Johnson of Philipsburg and four grandchildren: Benjamin, Matthew, Nicholas and Megan Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Interment will be in the American Legion Cemetery, Brisbin.
