Mary Leskovansky

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Leskovansky  announce her peaceful passing on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at the age of 88.

Born March 23, 1935 in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Anna (Fryer) Cox.

On May 7, 1962, she married Bernard Leskovansky, who preceded her in death on November 25, 2000.

Mary had extreme joy in raising her eleven children.  She loved camping, enjoyed watching her favorite flowers growing around her home, bird watching, and she cherished her time with her dog Buddy.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children; MaryAnn Swartz, Anna (Mark) Mills, Michael (Jennifer) Leskovansky, Elizabeth (Raymond) Visnofsky, Stephen Leskovansky, Susan Schickel, Clifford Leskovansky, Helena (Brent) Snyder, Marlene McGuire, and Samuel Leskovansky, along with twenty-five grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, her sister Margaret Carbeck, a daughter-in-law Tonja Leskovansky, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her loving parents, husband, son William. and a son-in-law Frank Swartz.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday May 4, 2023 at 11:00 am the Birger A Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale.

Family and friends will be received Thursday at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the 11:00 am service.

Mary will be laid to rest beside her husband in St Lawrence Cemetery, Houtzdale.
