Marlene L. Ralston, 88, a guest of Altoona Home For Nursing Care and formerly of Parsonville passed away Thursday December 1, 2022 at UPMC Altoona.
Born January 23, 1934 in Ashland, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Margaret (Faughner) Kephart.
Marlene was a member of the Parsonville Assembly of God Church.
She was a homemaker who loved to spend time with her family, was a Sunday School Teacher for over 40 years and a member of the Woman's Ministries.
Marlene was a faithful visitor to area nursing homes, where she enjoyed bringing a little sunshine and cheer to many.
On January 2, 1954 she married Therman A. Ralston, who preceded her in death on November 21, 2010.
Surviving are two sons; Robert Ralston and companion Renee Rusnak, Jeffrey Ralston and wife Deanna.
Also surviving are six grandchildren; Tiffany (Joshua) Cummings, Kirsten (Daniel) Michaels, Rachel (Joshua) Murarik, Mikala (Jonathan) Cherry, Kandace (Chad) McCloskey, Robert (Nikki) Ralston Jr, thirteen great grandchildren, one great great grandson and a sister Marilyn Harden of Ft. Myers FL.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Family and friends will be received Sunday December 4, 2022 at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Monday from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.
Rev. W. Dean Krause will preside over the funeral service Monday December 5, 2022 at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
Marlene will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Sanborn Cemetery.
