Loretta Graffius 94, a guest of Mt. Laurel Nursing and Rehab Center, Clearfield and formerly of Beulah passed away Tuesday January 5, 2021 at the center.
Born November 6, 1926 in Smokerun, she was the daughter of the late Evan and Julia (Grusong) Jones.
Loretta was a member of the Ramey United Methodist Church, the Order of Eastern Star, and The Daughters of the Nile Temple #129.
She enjoyed making crafts, gardening, going to swap meets, and cooking for her family. Her along with her husband were snowbirds, spending many winters together in Whittman, Arizona.
On July 30, 1949 she married Zane W. Graffius. They spent 68 years together before his passing on April 18, 2018.
She is survived by her daughters Jody (Dennis) Odrosky of Houtzdale, Jocelyn Richardson of Coalport, and Wanda Jean (Randy) Fulton of DuBois. Also surviving are six grandchildren; Chester (Candy) Graffius of Houtzdale, James Merritt of Sanborn, Timothy Graffius of Ramey, Alexis (Justin)Craven of Clearfield, Jonathan Odrosky of West Decatur, Logan David and Joe of Lewistown, a step grandson Ryan (Courtany) Fulton of Myrtle Beach, SC, along with five great grand children: McKenna and Zane Graffius, Emmett Craven, Timothy Graffius Jr. and Ava Craven.
Loretta was the last of her generation. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, son Warren Graffius. brother Merle Jones, sisters Shirley Bacher and Dorothy Sell, two infants Glenn Wayne and Gloria Jean, a step granddaughter Carlee Ann Fulton and an infant great grandchild Joseph Evan Odrosky.
Pastor Clare Pannebaker will preside over a Funeral Service Saturday at the Birger A Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale at 1:30 p.m.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday January 8, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to the time of service at 1:30 p.m..
All COVID 19 regulations will be observer . Masks will be required.
Interment will follow in the Beulah Cemetery, Ramey.
