James L. Keith, 87, of Woodland, passed away Sunday November 10, 2024 at his home.

Born May 8,1937 in Coalport, he was a son of the late Mae (Dunlap) Keith Wetherson and his stepfather Don Wetherson.

Jim was a member of the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, Woodland.   

He was a former member of the Clearfield American Legion Post #6, Philipsburg Elks Lodge #1173, Clearfield Sons and Daughters of Italy, Houtzdale Loyal Order of Moose, and the Morann Citizens Club.

Jim was employed as a Municipal Services Supervisor for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation until his retirement.

His favorite pass time was hunting, fishing and gardening, but he never missed a game at Moshannon Valley, where he was his grandchildren's number one fan.

On April 30, 1983, he married Veronica (Swanson) Keith, who survives at home.

Along with his wife, he is survived by three children; James (Regina) Keith of Morann, Sonja Berg of Clearfield, Andrea Keith of Lewistown, and nine grandchildren; Jimmy, Michael and PJ Keith, Jordan and Jeffrey Knepp, Elisabeth Larson, Taylor and Baileyann Keith, Brandon Knepp, along with eight great grandchildren, a sister Janet Buckwalter of Dubois, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Carl Keith.

Family and friends will be received Friday November 15, 2024 at the Birger A Freeberg Funeral Home Inc, Houtzdale from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.

Pastor Eric Larson, Jim's grandson-in-law will preside over the funeral service at 1:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brisbin.

The family requests memorial donations be made in Jim's memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
