Obituary

Gladys K. "Katie" John, 79, of 715 Falconer Street, and former of Sinclairville and Jamestown NY died peacefully Thursday November 17, 2022 in Lutheran.

A native of Brisbin, PA, Katie was one of eleven children born to the late Evan and Myrtle (Kephart) John.

She enjoyed the many years she attended Adult Daycare in Jamestown.  She loved to play bingo, take pictures, make crafts and shop.  People seemed to always recognize her and greet her anywhere she went.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Lutheran and Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care for the support they provided to Katie and her family.

Surviving is a sister Evelyn Socoski; brothers Neal, Jim, and Larry John and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by siblings Beverly Marucci, Frances Neel, Marion Thomas, Myra Date, Marvin and Evan John.

Friends will be received at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc, Houtzdale on Tuesday 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Pastor Dale Stoop will preside over the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brisbin.
