George R. "Skip" Gustkey, 81, a guest of Mt. Laurel Nursing and Rehab Center, Clearfield and formerly of Houtzdale passed away Tuesday January 5, 2021 at the center.
Born May 21, 1939 in Osceola Mills, he was a son of the late Rudolph and Ruth (Mayes) Gustkey.
George was employed by Lee Industries and the Cigar Plant ,both of Philipsburg, Piper Air Craft, where he was employed as a tool and die maker, and retired from General Motors , Pittsburgh in 2004 after 19 years of service.
He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors.
George served honorably with the United States Air Force at the Loring Air Force Base in Maine.
On November 21, 1969 he married Sandra (Dixon) Gustkey who survives in Houtzdale.
Along with his wife he is survived by his beloved daughter and grandchildren: Teresa (David ) Jasper of Brisbin, grandchildren Zachary and Trent Jasper and a great grandchild Levi Jasper.
George was the last of his generation, preceding him in death were his parents, brothers Rudy, Robert, Fred, Bill, and sister Ruth Ann.
A graveside Committal Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
