Emma Jean (Smith) Srock, a resident of Colonial Courtyard of Clearfield, formerly of Ginter, died Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Colonial Courtyard of Clearfield.
Born August 28, 1932 in Ashland, rural Houtzdale, she was the daughter of Earl and Rhoda (Kephart) Smith.
Mrs. Srock was a member of the Ramey United Methodist Church.
In her working career she was employed by General Cigar, Navasky's and Viceroy until her retirement.
She enjoyed camping, family, and spending time with friends at the Houtzdale Senior Center. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
On July 22, 1952, she married Thomas Albert “Tucker” Srock, who preceded her in death on September 2, 2015.
She is also preceded in death by her parents and a son, Dennis Srock, formerly of Glen Hope. She was the last surviving of her siblings.
Surviving is a daughter, Sheila Thomas (Timothy) of Houtzdale, and a son, Douglas Srock (Melva) of Killeen, Texas.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Brian Srock of Austin, Texas; Megan Merritt of Glen Hope; Todd Srock of McCartney; Christopher Srock of Harker Heights, Texas; Jacob Srock of Coalport; Michelle Campbell of Copperas Cove, Texas; Douglas Srock, Jr. of Killeen, Texas; Kelly McAninch of Carnegie; 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private memorial will be held at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemtery Brisbin.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging.
