Eleanor (Martin) Yarger-Hassinger, 92, a guest of Dayspring Personal Care Home and formerly of Sanborn, PA passed away Saturday, October 4,2025 at Dayspring.

Born in Brisbin, PA on March 26,1933, she was a daughter of the late James and Bessie (Albright) Martin.

Eleanor loved and cherished spending time with her family. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, sewing, and crocheting.  She always looked forward to and enjoyed celebrating family birthday parties.

On December 10th, 1949 she married Ivan W. Yarger who preceded her in death on January 16, 1990.   On February 5, 1994, she married Ralph T. Hassinger, who preceded her in death on February 11, 2014.

Eleanor was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Cathy Murarik, brothers Tom and Carl Martin, a sister Joyce Cartwright, sons-in-law Joe Murarik and Michael Stewart, and an infant granddaughter.

She is survived by her three daughters: Joy Henry of Sanborn, PA, Kim Horgas and her husband Bill of State College, PA and Traci Shimmel and her husband Kevin of Philipsburg, PA.

Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Sherri (Jerry) Delucia, Tammy (Tim) McGlynn, Lori (Kelly) Reifer, Jamie (Sean) Irvin, Heather (Sam) Greenough, Matthew (Megan) Horgas, Brittany (Randy) Jasper, fourteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Along with two sisters Lois Lukens of Smoke Run, PA, Joan Walstrom of Brisbin, PA, brothers, Dennis (Linda) Martin of Ginter, PA, Kenneth Kephart of Clearfield, and a sister-in-law Sharon Martin of Hawk Run, PA.

A private funeral service will be held with Pastor Mike Knepp officiating.

Interment will be in the Sanborn Cemetery.

The family requests memorial contributions be made in Eleanor's memory to Dayspring Personal Care Home, 93 Dayspring Lane, Morrisdale, Pa 16858.
