Edward John Kokosko

Edward John Kokosko, 52 of Houtzdale, passed away Tuesday November 2, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born March 20, 1969 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Barbara Ann (Patkalitsky) Kokosko and Carl Edward Kokosko of Houtzdale.

Eddie was a graduate of Moshannon Valley High School and received  his bachelors degree from Wesleyan  College, where he played baseball.

He was a member of Holy Protection St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in  Sheraton, W.V., member of the Janesville VFW, the Houtzdale Loyal Order of Moose #327, and the Tyrone American Legion.

He was employed as a sales representative for various Copper and Brass Companies.

 Eddie enjoyed camping ,hunting, fishing and playing baseball, but the love of his life were his children.

 On August 27, 2018 he married Melinda (Laskowsky) Kokosko who survives in Houtzdale.

Also surviving is his father, children Charlotte Kokosko and Jayden Laskowsky of Houtzdale and Alexandra and Karoline Kokosko of Morgantown, WV.

He was preceded in death by his mother, an infant sister, his maternal grandparents John and Ann Patkalitsky, his paternal grandparents John and Helen Kokosko and an aunt Barbara Kokosko.

Family will receive friends on Friday November 5, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Birger A Freeberg Funeral Home Inc, Houtzdale.

Funeral Service of the Divine Liturgy will be held Saturday November 6, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Ramey with Rev. Father James Davidson as celebrate.

Interment will follow in St Lawrence Cemetery, Houtzdale.
