Earl LeRoy Iraca, 71, of Madera, passed away Tuesday June 10, 2025 at his residence.

Born October 8,1953 in Philipsburg, he was a son of the late Earl LeRoy and Marion (Demko) Iraca.

Earl was a member of the Madera Methodist Church, the Houtzdale Loyal Order of Moose Lodge # 327, Osceola Masonic Lodge # 515, and the Jaffa Shrine.

He received his Bachelor's Degree from Penn State University and was a member of the National Honor Society for the Arts and Mensa.

He was employed as a general contractor and sawyer in his early years. He later taught Alternative Education for the Moshannon Valley School District and was a substitute teacher in the Philipsburg School district. He retired from Community Action, Clearfield after he became ill.

Earl was a talented artist. He enjoyed drawing, painting and carving. He loved to garden and took pride in his vegetable garden.

Earl was a loving, loyal husband and father, who was very protective of his family.  He was a counselor to family and friends. His listening and supportive ways will be missed. Earl is one of the best!

On October 22,1983, he married Melanie Higgins, who survives at home.

He is survived by his three children: Christion (Christina) Iraca of DuBois, Anthony Iraca of Beccaria, and Jennie Iraca of Madera, along with three grandchildren: Anna, Lydia and Asher Iraca.

Also surviving is a brother, Tony Iraca and a sister Margaret McClelland, both of Madera.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends will be received at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc, Houtzdale on Friday June 13, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00pm and Saturday from 9:00am until the time of service.

Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday June 14,2025 at 11:00am with Rev. Robert Ford officiating.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brisbin.
