Dolores J. Washell, 86, of Brisbin, passed away Monday February 15, 2021 at her residence.
Born May 22, 1934 in Brisbin, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Elverta (Lobb) Evans.
She was a lifelong member of the Brisbin Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.
Dolores was employed as a teachers aid for the Philipsburg Osceola School District until her retirement.
She was devoted to her children , grandchildren, and her church. As a teachers aid, she enjoyed teaching reading to students.
On May 12, 1955, she married Joseph David Washell, who survives at home. They shared sixty five years of marriage.
Surviving along with her husband are three children; Joseph (Jeri Ann) Washell of Brisbin, Tammy (Michael) Hughes of Houtzdale, Andrew Washell and his companion Gaylene Brown of New Millport, seven grandchildren; Mark Washell, Angela Burks, Claire Washell, Courtney Hawkins, Michael Hughes, Shannon Foreman and Kelsey Gulish, along with eleven great grandchildren; Madison Washell, Daniel, Everett and Hadley Burks, Roger and Harry Hawkins, Jaylynn Hughes, Jace and Malia Foreman and Aria and Alayah Gulish.
Also surviving are four sisters; Joyce Wilson of Brisbin, Carol Kephart of Houtzdale, Dessia Rolands of Lampeter and Florence Carroll of Danville, IL.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Jeanne Rhymestine, a brother Andrew and a daughter-in-law Luann Washell.
Rev. Kevin Howard will preside over a private funeral service.
There will be no public visitation.

Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brisbin.
