Deloris H. Hicks, 83, of Houtzdale and a guest of Maybrook Hills Rehab and Healthcare Center, Altoona, passed away Saturday June 22, 2024 at the care center.

Born September 14,1940 in Houtzdale, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Helen (Finney) Johnson.

 On January 27, 1968 she married Loren C. Hicks, who preceded her in death on July 17,2018.

She was employed by D & M Manufacturing until her retirement in 1994.

Deloris lived her entire life in the white house on the corner in Atlantic, where she enjoyed her yard and flowers. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Kitko and husband Mark of Houtzdale, four grandchildren: Andy Lobb of Middleton, Jessica Lobb of Brisbin, Nicholas and Alex Kitko of Houtzdale.

Also surviving are two nieces: Tish and Jennifer Johnson and a son-in-law Jim Lobb.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, a daughter Lori Lobb on January 10, 2024 and a brother Ernest Johnson on March 23, 2020.

All services will be private.

Deloris will be laid to rest next to her husband in the American Legion Cemetery, Brisbin.

The Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc. in Houtzdale is in charge of the arrangements.
