David Mark Churner

David Mark Churner,73, of Brisbin, was released from his Alzheimer's ravaged body into the arms of the angels on Sunday, September 4,2022 at Knickbocker Villa, Clearfield.

Born August 17, 1949 in Philipsburg, he was the son late Samuel L. and Mary Richardson Churner of Madera.

David was a graduate of Moshannon Valley High School.

He owned and operated 3D Carpet Cleaning of State College until he opened D.M. Churner Beverage in Houtzdale in the 1970's. He retired after almost 40 years of serving the public and meeting many friends that have been an important part of his life.

On April 5, 1986 in Ramey, he married Kay Lobb, who survives at home.

David is survived by his wife and children, Heather (Tom) Domanick of Ramey and Tonia (Rich) Burley of Tyrone.  Also surviving are eight grandchildren; Kortney (Terrill) Stiles, Gage, Regan, and Aiden Domanick, Nichole Hewitt, Samantha (Jeff) Warner, Ryan (Ashley) Saupp, Brenna Saupp, and two great grandson, Titus Stiles and Owen Saupp, along with three sisters: Pat Hopkins of State College, Frances (George) Barger of Boalsburg, Mary Churner and friend Ken Harpster of State College and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant brother Lawrence, son John Dimmick and a daughter Lori Hewitt.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday September 9, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at the Birger A Freeberg Funeral Home Inc, Houtzdale with Pastor Mark Melhorn officiating.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday from 1p.m. until the 3 p.m. service.
