Darrel L Woods, 89, of Brisbin passed away Sunday December 7, 2025 at UPMC Dubois.

Born August 12, 1936 in Osceola Mills, he was a son of the late John Woods and Martha (Harris) Puit.

Darrel was a member of the Brisbin Baptist Church.

He was first employed at the Cigar Factory in Philipsburg and retired from Charles Navasky and Co.

Darrel is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Joyce (McGraw) Woods.

Also surviving are four sisters: Rose Patterson, Sara Poole, Dolly McGee, Mary Ann Coutes and two brothers: Bill and John Puit.

Along with a sister-in-law Donna Leiphart and husband Jack, a brother-in-law Preston McGraw and wife Kathy and numerous nieces, nephews and a great nephew.

Preceding Darrel in death were his parents, brothers Charles Jr. and Robert Puit and a sister Giget Lefevbre.

Family and friends will be received Friday December 12. 2025 at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc, Houtzdale from 2 to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service officiated by Pastor Mark Melhorn at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brisbin.
