Calvin M. Bowman, 25, of Houtzdale passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday November 26, 2025.

Born April 30, 2000 in Clearfield, he was a son of Jerry C. Bowman and Cindy (Litzinger) Demko, both of Houtzdale.

Calvin was a 2019 graduate of Moshannon Valley High School.

He was employed by Track Builders Inc. a railroad construction company and was a self-employed HAVC contractor.

Calvin worked proudly on the railroad and was known for his strong work ethics, big heart, and willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need. He never let you praise him or pay him, he would just say "It needed done!". Many looked up to him, and he earned that respect through kindness, dependability, and quiet strength.

Calvin enjoyed spending time with his family, watching the sunrise and sunset, riding dirt bikes, being outside, playing with his RC cars and trucks.  He enjoyed playing video games with his girlfriend Angela. He was loyal, a shoulder to cry on, and a safe place for many.  He had a unique mind and deep understanding of the world around him. He was an old soul. His presence brought joy, comfort, and laughter to everyone blessed to know him.   

Calvin was a member of the Houtzdale American Legion Social Club and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #327, Houtzdale.

Calvin is survived by his mother Cindy, his father Jerry, stepfather Robert Reader, his grandmother Betty Sabol, his four sisters Cindy Young, Tina Gagnon, Taylor Bowman and Sarah Bowman; and his three brothers, Neil Bowman, James Hoopsick and Ricky Demko. He also leaves behind his girlfriend, Angela Mills, whom he loved dearly.

Also surviving are numerous special nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his maternal step grandfather, Mike Sabol, grandfather Jesse Litzinger, paternal grandparents, William (Cal) and Geraldine Bowman, uncles, Richard Bowman, James Litzinger and Donald Welsh.

He will be forever missed and forever loved.

Family and friends will be received Wednesday December 3, 2025 at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc. Houtzdale from 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm service officiated by Pastor Robert Way.

Interment will be in the Blair Memorial Park Cemetery, Bellwood.
