Bonnie Jo (Baker) Jedamzik

Bonnie Jo (Baker) Jedamzik of Houtzdale, PA passed away on one of her favorite days, St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2022, after a short illness surrounded by family. She was born in Westover, PA. She attended HWB (Moshannon Valley) and graduated in 1959. Bonnie then went to school to become a licensed cosmetologist. Bonnie worked in dietary and as a unit clerk at Philipsburg Hospital for many years until retirement when the hospital closed. Besides spending time with her family and close friends we all know Bonnie loved to shop. Bonnie had a great sense of fashion and always made sure to match her purses to her shoes. Other interests of Bonnie’s included sewing, pedicures, manicures, cleaning, NASCAR racing, and finding the best pajamas. 

Bonnie was preceded in death by her father and mother, Jake Baker and Pauline (Baker) Greenawalt; step-father John Greenawalt; step-sisters Mary Ellen Greenawalt and Rosalie Lewis; step-brothers Tom Greenawalt and Paul Greenawalt; and numerous Aunts and Uncles. 

Bonnie is survived by her loving children, Bridgett (Sandy) Bialota and Brice (Dayna) Ferguson; brother John Greenawalt; grandchildren Amanda Ferguson (Mikie :) ), Todd Rees (Brittany), Brittany Bialota (Josh) and Alyssa Ferguson; great grandchildren Ryan, Jordyn, Kinzley, and Cole; aunts Leona Daisley and Miriam Hamric; and best friends Judy Kephart and Sue Webster. 

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday March 23, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Canton OH with Msgr. Frank A. Carfagna officiating. Bonnie will then be taken home to Houtzdale, where calling hours will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Birger A Freeberg Funeral Home Inc. with a Prayer Service at 11:45 a.m. officiated by Rev. Father Joseph Czarkowski. Interment will be at East Ridge Cemetery, Westover, PA.
