Alta M. Vogle, 92 of Houtzdale died Monday, May 19, 2025 at Mountain Laurel Healthcare Center, Clearfield.

 Born June 12,1932, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Cora Vogle.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Charles Jr. and R. Wickliffe.

She was the last of her immediate family.

She was a 1950 graduate of Houtzdale Woodward Brisbin High School. After graduation she attended Lock Haven State College where she received her bachelor's degree in education in 1953.

Alta went on to receive her master's degree from Penn State University in 1961.

In 1968 became a member of Pi Lambda Theta, a national honor society for educators in the United States.

She was a life member of Pennsylvania Association of State Retirees, National Education Association and the Penn State University Alumni.

Alta retired after thirty-nine years of service as an educator in 1992.

All services will be private.

She will be laid to rest beside her parents in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
