Lowell Finney

Lowell Finney 76, a guest of Windy Hill Village of the Presbyterian, Philipsburg died Tuesday January 15, 2019 at the Village.

Born November 5, 1942 in (Atlantic) Houtzdale, he was a son of Merine (Dersin) Finney of Boalsburg and the late Florman Finney.

Lowell was a member of Camp Rolling Rock and was employed at the Cigar Factory in Philipsburg until his retirement.

He enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie and spending time with his nieces and nephews

On October 20, 1973 he married Lena (Hazel) Finney, who preceded him in death on December 4, 2017.

Along with his mother his is survived by a sister Sheron Bell of Boalsburg and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lowell was preceded in death by his father, wife, and a brother Lonny Finney.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday January 22 at 11:00 a.m. at the Birger A Freeberg Funeral Home Inc. with Pastor Lorrain Florey officiating.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brisbin.

Family and friends will be received  Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
