Francina Krauss

Francina Krauss, 92, of Houtzdale passed away Saturday February 16, 2019 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.

 Born September 22, 1926 in Irvona, she was the daughter of the late Addie and Rachael (Ball) Howe.

She was a member of the Glen Hope Methodist Church.

Francina was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking for her family. She loved music and enjoyed listening to her late husband sing in the Horseshoe Chorus and the Nittany Knight Chorus.

She married Ralph A. Krauss, who preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 2008.

Surviving are three grandchildren; Ronald, Andrew and Zoe Ammerman, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Francina was the last of her generation.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, a son Ronald Ammerman on December 7, 2006, three sisters; Goldie Dotts, Virginia Smith, Thelma Doharn, and a brother George Howe.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday February 19, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at the Birger A Freeberg Funeral Home Inc. Houtzdale with Rev Adam Dotts officiating.

Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Fruit Hill Cemetery, Ansonville,
